FAQ

How do AM Drips work?
AM Drips are as comfortable and shaping as your beloved sports leggings and shorts - but they can do more. They keep you safe and dry during your workouts and sporting activities during your period. The AM Drips come with an integrated membrane system in the crotch, which draws the menstrual blood away from you, absorbs it and prevents it from leaking out. You can simply machine wash our period sportswear at 40°C (see also here: Care ) and then put it back on. This saves you a lot of shopping and waste from disposable period products such as tampons and pads.
Can I avoid using disposable period products like tampons and pads with AM Drips?
The strength of our AM Drip products lies in the integrated membrane system in the crotch area. We have developed and tested the multi-layer system especially for you and in collaboration with our partner: It holds around 20 ml, which is about the same as 2 normal tampons. This makes our period sportswear your safe companion during your normal workout of 1-2 hours, without any additional protection. With a medium to light menstruation, our period sportswear can therefore be worn for 6-9 hours. If you have heavy bleeding, you should change your AM Drip product after 3 hours at the latest. If you are bleeding very heavily, you may want to use additional protection (tampon, menstrual cup, menstrual disc).
How much liquid do the AM Drips absorb?
The innovative membrane system in the crotch area of our AM Drips has been specially designed for its absorbency. The membrane has been developed and tested to absorb around 20 ml of fluid - that's roughly the amount of 2 normal tampons! For medium to light menstrual flow, our period sportswear can therefore easily be worn for 6-9 hours. However, if you have heavy bleeding, we recommend changing the AM Drips every 3 hours at the latest. If you have very heavy bleeding, you might want to consider additional protection such as tampons, menstrual cups or menstrual discs.
Do AM Drips only work for periods or can they also be worn for incontinence?
AM Drips have an integrated membrane system in the crotch that absorbs liquid and leaves you feeling dry. This membrane system can absorb various liquids. We know that periods can only be one form of "leakage". Our membrane system can take away your worries about various situations. Although the initial focus during development was on menstrual blood, our tests have shown that AM Drips are highly absorbent and stay dry even in the case of incontinence. The amount of liquid that can be absorbed remains roughly the same - a good 20 ml.
What makes AM Drips better than traditional period products?
There are many good reasons to buy AM Drips! Our products are a great alternative to conventional period products (tampons, pads, menstrual cups, etc.) for your active hours during your period and a fantastic addition if you already use classic period underwear. AM Drips are absolutely comfortable, there are no unpleasant stains, no slipping and they are more sustainable than disposable period products.
Health
What health benefits can AM Drips have over traditional period products?
Invasive period products (products that you insert into your vagina) such as tampons completely stop your menstrual blood from flowing out. This creates two risks: 1. The vaginal walls can become dry and cracked. This can be painful and may even cause an infection. 2. In rare cases, using invasive period products can lead to toxic shock syndrome (TSS). TSS is a life-threatening disease that is fortunately very rare. It can occur if tampons and menstrual cups are not changed regularly or are even left in the vagina. This can create a bacterial outbreak that can then trigger TSS. Have you ever looked at the back of a tampon pack or visited their website? Unfortunately, very little information is provided about the exact ingredients - and this for a product that many of us insert into our bodies every month. There are many different and very personal reasons why you may not want to insert hygiene products into your vagina. AM Drips can be a great alternative for you - whether you're doing sports or in your everyday life. To put it briefly: AM Drips don't pull or press like tampons and menstrual cups can sometimes do when you're doing sports. And unlike a pad, they're less bulky, don't slip and don't make you sweat.
How compatible is the membrane system for my sensitive skin?
Nothing comes as close to your body as our AM Drips. That's why we only use fabrics that are certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. The OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is a label for textiles that have been tested for harmful substances. It sets the standard for textile safety, from the yarn to the finished product. Every article with the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label has passed laboratory tests for harmful substances. You can find more details at: OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 .
Material & Size
What materials are AM Drips made of?
We have carefully selected all the materials used and placed the highest value on your health, the environment and the people involved. All fabrics were manufactured in Europe. Please note: Not all of our raw materials for the materials come from Europe, as this is not possible for climatic reasons. // Inside: Antibacterial and extremely liquid-permeable fabric for a dry feel // Terry cloth : Absorbent fabric that increases the dry feel // Membrane: Ensures that no liquid penetrates to the outside and consists of 77% recycled polyester // Outside: Like all drips, made of 82% biodegradable polyamide. // We are committed to impeccable quality and the highest level of comfort every day - because nothing is closer to our skin than underwear. Our manufacturing partner therefore only uses fabrics that are certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. You can find out more under "Production & Sustainability"
What size do I need?
AM Drips are currently available in four different sizes: XS/S, S/M, M/L and L/XL. The AM Drips are generously cut and very elastic and supple. We therefore tend to recommend that you go for a size smaller than normal. But of course that also depends on what you prefer during your period. If you don't know what size you are, take a look at our size chart under size advice . The best way to measure your hips is horizontally at the widest point of your buttocks. The measuring tape should fit snugly but not cut in. Of course, you can try on your AM Drips at home and exchange them if the size doesn't fit. However, we ask that you do not remove the hygiene label in the crotch area. We would also be very grateful if you did NOT try on the AM Drips during your period and only with underwear. You can find all the details about exchanges and returns here.
Care
Can I wash my AM Drips?
Yes, definitely! You can simply machine wash our AM Drips and then put them back on. This way you are better for the environment than with disposable period products. We even recommend that you wash your AM Drips before you wear them for the first time, as they have already traveled a certain distance to get to you due to being sent by post.

Our Brand
What is the story behind AM Drip?
It all started with a chronic bladder infection. During our monthly Sunday brunch we started researching the causes. You all know the Google searches that you do quickly during a conversation to be able to bring more facts into the conversation. We soon came to the conclusion: disposable menstrual products such as tampons can increase the risk of a bladder infection. Two or three clicks later we had placed our first joint order for period underwear. Skeptics became followers, and the followers became entrepreneurs. 1.5 years later, the AM Drip brand is ready to make women's exercise and relaxation during their period as pleasant, healthy, sustainable and stylish as possible... You can find the whole story in the "Behind the Drips" section.
